2019 Toyota Camry: Common Problems, Recalls and Vehicle Data
Check the 2019 Toyota Camry records before a viewing: recall campaigns,
owner-reported symptoms, investigations, service bulletins and EPA fuel economy.
The 2019 Toyota Camry has six recall campaigns in the public record, and they span four different systems rather than clustering in one place: two involving equipment (both concerning incorrect tire/loading labels), two for the gasoline fuel system tied to potential fuel pump failure and stalling, one for air bags, and one for the hydraulic service brakes involving a possible loss of braking assist. That spread across separate systems means the recall history here is broad rather than pointing to one recurring mechanical thread. No investigations are open in this record, and there are no repeat-repair campaigns, meaning no recall here was issued to fix a prior recall repair done incorrectly.
Turning to complaints, 403 have been logged for this model year. The largest category is "other" at 126 complaints (31 percent), followed by drivetrain at 111 (28 percent) and engine at 41 (10 percent). Together the top two categories account for more than half of all complaints filed, though "other" is a catch-all category that does not point to a specific component.
Toyota has also issued 201 service bulletins for this model year, a separate channel from recalls that gives dealers repair guidance rather than mandating a fix. The largest cluster, 35 bulletins, concerns equipment, followed by 24 on body structure. Bulletins reflect known symptoms dealers were told to watch for, not confirmed defects or safety findings.
Taken together, the record shows recalls distributed across several systems, a complaint list led by a broad "other" category and drivetrain, and no open investigations. Complaint counts reflect how often issues were reported, not how many vehicles were actually affected.

A model-year recall does not mean every vehicle is affected. Look up a specific car with our

Investigations
No NHTSA investigations on file for this model year.
Manufacturer communications
Expand a component group to read the service bulletins and other communications
manufacturers filed with NHTSA. Use the document number to ask a dealer whether the instructions apply to
this car and whether any repair is covered. A bulletin alone does not establish payment eligibility.
How these records differ from recalls and investigations.
NHTSA crash-tests each body-style/drivetrain configuration separately, so ratings can
differ by variant — shown as tested, not averaged. See
how the 5-star ratings work, including why an
overall score isn't the average of the three category scores.
